F-205 Midge Update

Design for the F-205 Midge interceptor for Sieran based on a template by *WS-Clave. I claim no rights over the creation for the base, only the small modifications I made.

The F-205A was the initial production version with twin 37mm cannon

The F-205B was an upgraded version of the F-205A fitted with plumbing to the wingtip to allow carriage of external tanks to increase range

The F-205R was a reconnaissance version, stripped of all un-necessary hardware and weapons and fitted with vertical and oblique cameras

The F-205RI was a rocket interceptor variant fitted with rocket booster packs strapped to the body which were jettisoned once their solid fuel was expended

The F-205T was a variant for service on the R.S.N Fleet Air Arm naval carriers. All -T variants have strengthened landing gear, large air brakes in the tail and a tail hook

the F-205UT was a trainer variant with a lengthened cockpit bay to accommodate an instructor in tandem behind the pilot. UT series aircraft retain combat ability but their increased weight and reduced fuel load lower performance

The F-205C is the current variant with an extended chord wing and tail fin, increased sweep to all surfaces, quad 37mm cannon mountings, a more powerful Karshinov turbojet and a ventral fin to increase longitudinal stability. This version is to remain in service until the F-207 'Flakfalcon' is ready for entry into service in 1963
